Week-end sails

Friday was a rush-hour day. So many things, so little time to wrap everything up and head for the Portorož for a three-day sailing school.

And since this was a sailing school the engine decided to die the second we turned it on. Who needs it, when you have sails, right?

Lucky for us, the winds were perfect and we cruised the bay and even sailed into the open sea, making a turn around the Piran peninsula.

For all of you who think (myself included three days ago) that sailing means sitting on a sail, minding the rudder and enjoying the breeze, thing again. My hands hurt, my shoulders hurt and my ass hurts. I know that I am out of shape but sailing is heavy duty stuff.

Nevertheless, it was fun and after the aches settle down, I would not mind giving sailing another go.
