It was a good day. Still feeling a little tired from yesterday and this morning (very early morning) but the day turned out to be just as nice.
I actually left the work early, picking up the CSI Las Vegas season 3, part 1 DVD and went to change a broken USB key. And this is where the fun starts. Usually, when you bring back something that stopped working and that thing is under warranty they are suppose to exchange it for a working model of the same thing or give you your money back. They are not suppose to a) act like a bunch of apes who just got a new cartload of bananas b) trying to make small-talk with you while they are passing that broken USB key around like a hot potato and c) making an impression like they don`t know what the hell they are suppose to do anyway (which is not far from the truth I think).
After almost an hour of waiting and listening to their bullshit, I`ve been told to check back in two weeks as they are sending the broken key to the manufacturer. Ahem. It`s a fucking USB key. You cannot fix it. If it`s broken, it`s over. It`s dead. ‘E’s not pinin’! ‘E’s passed on! This USB key is no more! He has ceased to be! ‘E’s expired and gone to meet ‘is maker! ‘E’s a stiff! Bereft of life, ‘e rests in peace! If you hadn’t nailed ‘im to the perch ‘e’d be pushing up the daisies! ‘Is metabolic processes are now ‘istory! ‘E’s off the twig! ‘E’s kicked the bucket, ‘e’s shuffled off ‘is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-USBkey! (this is actually a dead parrot sketch from monty phyton, but it serves it`s purpose).
I don`t think that store will see me or my money ever again. I`d rather go to the zoo. Those monkeys are more interesting.
There is a german offensive brewing for tomorrow so you all better watch out. By the looks of it, they are going to sturm the city of Ljubljana in the afternoon and I`ll be there to give a full report on the subject. Ahem. Just kidding…Novala and her cousin are paying a visit. I just hope they won`t bug me to show them where Tomi lives. Hehe. Let`s just hope the weather holds out and does not surprise us with some crappy rain. No fun.
I am happy.
